About raondev.app

raondev.app is a small set of web tools built and run by one person. Each tool gets its own section, and this site is all of it.

The tools are free. If advertising is enabled, it helps cover the domain cost and the time it takes to keep them working.

The first tool is the QR code generator. Until September 2026 it was published as QRmint at qrmint.raondev.app; it now lives under /qr/ on this site, and the old addresses forward here.

Why a set of tools instead of one big site

Put ten unrelated features on one screen and all ten get worse. The menu grows, the purpose blurs, and eventually nobody can say what the site is for.

Split them up and each one gets sharp. You send someone a single link, and the page does that one job the moment it opens.

How it is built

It is a static site. Pages are built ahead of time, exported as files, and served. There is no application server and no database, so there is nothing to log in to.

The actual work — QR encoding, file conversion, calculation — happens in your browser using standard web APIs.

What that changes for you

What you type into a tool is never transmitted anywhere, because there is nowhere to send it. Close the tab and it is gone.

Once a page is open it keeps working offline, and it does not slow down when many people use it at once.

How guides are checked

Guide examples use fictional data and are generated by this site with the same encoder as the tool. Automated checks confirm that the normal examples decode back to their expected data. Device cameras, printers, materials and network settings still vary, so any code intended for print or public use should be checked on the final device and material.

Limits worth knowing

Doing everything in the browser has a cost. Very large files run into device memory, nothing is saved for you automatically, and there is no sync between devices.

QR codes here are static. The destination is baked into the pattern, so a printed code cannot be edited later and scans cannot be counted. If the address might change, point the code at a domain you control and redirect from there.

Send feedback

There is no paid tier and no data for sale. If a tool did not work, a translation reads badly, or something is genuinely missing, email is the fastest route.
